Edges & Sledges: Our Indian Cricket Podcast (post CWC19 update)

CWC19 has come and gone. England didn’t win the final outright, but won the trophy alright. The Ashes are here and India is back to playing cricket in the Caribbean. Since our last update in June, we have been busy putting out podcasts every week for your listening pleasure. Our fan-run Indian cricket podcast has somehow managed managed to release 70 episodes!

On this episode, Varun, Ashwin and DJ come back after the breathtaking IPL season to talk about the elephant in the room: CWC19! They get the opportunity to talk to Tatenda Taibu, former captain of Zimbabwe, the youngest Test skipper in history and the first black player to captain Zimbabwe in the sport. The conversation spans across the current world cricket scenario, team standings for the World Cup and a lot more.

On this episode, Ashwin and DJ are in conversation with two cricket fans from two different corners of the world: Andrew Menczel from Australia and Tim Dale Lace from South Africa. They talk about the Australian and South African teams and also previews the upcoming India and South Africa match.

On this episode, Ashwin Varun and DJ are analysing the previous matches and also previewing the upcoming matches in the CWC19! The trio is in conversation with The Cricketeers previewing the India vs. New Zealand match in the first half, and in the second half they preview the India vs. Pakistan match along with Aatif Nawaz.

In the second half the trio delve into a conversation with an award-winning writer, Nihar Suthar, who is a cricket fan and has also written a book on Afghanistan cricket called The Corridor of Uncertainty: How Cricket Mended a Torn Nation.
